Inspired by tales from turn of the century Paris,
The Artist's Dinner is a coming together of five of Auckland's most interesting artists, at once disparate and cohesive, that aims to 're-integrate fine art back into the daily cultural fix of local society.' All of the artists;
Karen Inderbitzen-Waller,
Hye Rim Lee,
Misery,
Greta Anderson and
Paris Kirby, will be present at our favourite haven,
The Golden Dawn, 5.30-8.30pm on Thursday November 21 to display 20 limited edition signed works each - printed by fine art printer
Biz Dojo for just $40 per work, in association with
Elam, The 90's. Admirably, it is a non-commission art event, curated by
Aimee Ralfini, meaning all proceeds go to the artist, and as most of them have appeared in the pages of
Black Magazine, we love that a lot. A friendly $10 will ensure a French-inspired street dinner - with vegetarian option and 'Frenchopheliac' sounds courtesy of
Master Crawley and the Dawn. "All welcome," "Bring cash," and "Child friendly." Put simply; "The exhibition will provide an opportunity for intelligent, but perhaps not so well off, aspiring artists, art lovers and culturalists to purchase original art and discover a artist." Love...
